Earth Form is a new body of work by artist Wyatt Hersey that brings his colorful, graphic language into a range of dimensional, tactile media. In this exhibition, Hersey expands his visual vocabulary beyond the flat plane, exploring how form, color, and material behave when they occupy physical space. Natural-dyed wool weavings, powder-coated steel sculptures, and painted wood wall hangings offer a spectrum of textures and surfaces, each carrying his signature low-brow, nature-inspired sensibility into new territory.

These works are paired with direct wall paintings, built shelves, and small sculptural trinkets to create an immersive environment that invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and engage with the tactile world. Hersey’s intention is to craft an experience that transports, heals, and reawakens the senses: a vibrant, physical encounter that calls the viewer to presence and vibrates the optic nerves.

Created with an acute awareness of the rapidly expanding presence of AI-generated digital imagery, Earth Form foregrounds the value of the handmade. By leaning fully into the physical, the human, and the tangible, Hersey offers a counterpoint to the synthetic machine made slop we are encountering at increasing regularity. The exhibition celebrates the magic of nature, the importance of objects that exist offline, and the irreplaceable resonance of artwork encountered in person.
